The Unit Circle

How to fill it out

*Look at the unit circle on the page
*Start at the zero degrees mark
*notice that by moving counterclockwise you first count by 30 degrees and then by 15 degrees twice and then by 30 again.keep repeating that pattern until you get to the end.
*once you have filled out the degrees move on to filling out the π part
*i like to fill out the two most left and right and up and down position first.these require memorization
* next fill out the middle line of each section of the circle. these will always be some multiple of π/4
*just remember to always start with the quadrant 1
*the first one is π/4 and from there you count every middle section and don't forget to include the two most left and right and top and bottom sections.
*now fill out the sections remaining by using multiples of π/6
*count every remaining section again remembering to count the two most left and right and top and bottom sections.
*after every section is filled out now go through and reduce where needed
*now we have to fill out the actual coordinates
*you only have to memorize three different sets of numbers. they are
√3/2, √1/2, and √2/2.
*memorize the combination of these numbers in quadrant 1
*now fold the unit circle and then fill out each of those sections with the matching number
*now add the negative signs depending on what quadrant you are in
*you have finished filling out the unit circle!!!!!!!!!!

Study Tips

*The first time you fill out the unit circle it may seem impossible, but with a lot of practice it will become second nature
*There are several tips that may help you with studying the unit circle
* Remembering what sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, and cot are will help you very much
*Sin is the Y value, Cos is the X value, Tan is Y/X, Csc is 1/Y, Sec is 1/X, and Cot is X/Y
*So for example if you have ( 1/2, √3/2 ) Sin=√3/2, Cos=1/2 and so on
*Dont memorize the entire circle, as said above you only need to memorize quadrant one and the rest will fall into place
*Always reduce when you can
*Dont get stressed, do a little a day and it will all make sense
